Chinese New Year

Chinese New year is all about spending time with close friends and family to celebrate the new year. Chinese New Year means lots of food, lots of cleaning, lots of 红包 (red envelope) trading, and LOTS of fireworks.

After a 6 hour dinner, we sat around for a bit watching TV and eating fruit while the babies wind down.

Later I went with Michelle to meet up with Krystin, Jing, Grayson, and friends to set off some fireworks. We walked around for a bit to decide where would be best to do it. We decided on a footbridge around Tianzifang.

The fireworks were super fun; I mean who doesn’t like to blow stuff up? Lighting a short fuse on a huge firework and running away giggling like a little girl is my favorite pastime.
